Letter: Taxing times in Weare
While the Weare selectmen have been able to hold the town’s tax rate stable for several years, much credit must go to the voters who have tried to hold down spending. While it would be great for the taxpayer to give government all that it asks for, can you afford to do that?
When you vote on March 11, remember two things:
1. You have only two choices: spend a little more or a lot more.
2. The tax impact will not show up until your December tax bill. What will the economics of your household be nine months from now?
With the exception of holding the tax rate stable, all the above also applies to the school ballots. Your vote does count. Choose wisely on March 11.
