Letter: Childish antics in Epsom

I have lived in Epsom for more than 50 years, and it was a wonderful place to come as a child and grow up in. I am saddened by the childish antics of some of our residents today.

Our town had proposed a beautiful town office space to be voted on by the townspeople. It was well-advertised by those who thought it was important for us to have. But when they tried to get their message out, they were in some instances shot down by removal of personal signs and articles that voiced their opinion about this project.

I always thought that this was called freedom of speech, a part of our Constitution. I can’t put into words how sad this makes me feel.

Your 100% accurate. All have the right to voice their opinion. In this situation the nay's saved the town over one million dollars. Sorry but I'm not aware of any child antics.
