Letter: Life imitates art (or vice versa)

I have enjoyed reading John Gfroerer in the Monitor recently, so I approached his April 6 column (“The best pictures are often the ones in your mind,” Sunday Monitor Your Life page) with anticipated pleasure at the story that would unfold.

What especially delighted me that day was the perfect parallel it provided for a theater production I’m involved in: 37 Postcards by Michael McKeever.

Through Gfroerer I had a glimpse at a real person, Gladys, who could have been quite like someone McKeever had known before he penned 37 Postcards.

As soon as I finished reading Gfroerer’s piece, I emailed the cast and directors to be sure they also read it.

Please come and enjoy the Sunapee-Kearsarge Intercommunity Theater production of the adult comedy – at the New London Outing Club (old middle school) on Cougar Court in New London – April 18, 19, 25 or 26 at 7:30 p.m. or April 27 at 2 p.m.

It is full of laughs and also very touching.
