Letter: ‘Monitor’ missed big event

I was extremely disappointed to find no coverage in the Monitor for the recent flagpole dedication at Keach Park on the Concord Plains-Heights.

The well-attended event also recognized the 100th anniversary of Pineconia-Concord Grange No. 322, which donated the flagpole for all members of the community to enjoy.

The July 22 event featured a concert by Nevers Band, refreshments and a presentation of awards to long-time members, supporters of this project, as well as families that represented a veritable history of the Concord Plains-Heights.

The Grange continues to contribute important services to the community as they have for a century and continues to make possible the annual Concord Christmas Parade as well as the beloved Christmas Tree Lighting.

While I appreciate the recent story in the Insider prior to the event, it would have been nice to have the paper send a photographer to capture this historic evening.
