Letter: Feltes fights for women

I am voting for Dan Feltes on Sept. 9 because I know he will be a powerful advocate for women and families.

I was disappointed to see Kass Ardinger attack Dan on women’s health issues in a mailer.

As an attorney, I have come to know and respect Dan’s considerable talents, which he devoted to hundreds of his women clients across of our community.

As a former nurse and director at a women’s health clinic, issues involving access to quality health care and reproductive rights are most important to me – I know that, despite the misleading attacks, Dan is not only 100 percent solid on women’s health issues, he will effectively fight for us against Tea Party anti-women attacks.

For years, Dan has been down in the trenches fighting on important women’s issues, and for his hundreds of women clients, including access to health care, jobs, housing and helping victims of domestic violence.

But this is not just about women’s health issues, Dan is the only candidate prioritizing flexible family leave, addressing the cost of child care and trying to advance early childhood development, including full-day kindergarten.

Dan has the proven track record of fighting for us. And so I am more than willing to fight to get him elected. Please vote for Dan Feltes on Sept. 9.
