Letter: Integrity, skill define Feltes
Dan Feltes has spent his entire legal career working for low-income clients across New Hampshire.
As an attorney at New Hampshire Legal Assistance, Dan fought for the rights of domestic violence survivors, veterans and other people who desperately needed his help. He listened to their situations, empathized with their struggles, and won fights for them from the halls of the State House to the courtroom in the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
Dan couldn’t have been more serious about his work or more excellent at it. But Dan was willing to leave his job for a calling where he could do even more good for low-income people and families than he did at legal aid: being the next state senator for District 15.
At significant cost to his family, Dan has now left his job to devote all his time and energy to running to represent Concord, Henniker, Hopkinton and Warner in the State House.
As a former legal aid colleague of Dan’s, I can attest that he would fight the fights we all need fought – for all-day kindergarten, affordable child care and women’s health, among others – with humility, integrity, empathy and skill. And he would win, all the while maintaining his trademark wit, good humor and (occasionally!) self-deprecating charm.
All of us in District 15 need Dan Feltes in our corner.
