Letter: Feltes has what it takes

Living in the Merrimack Valley School District, I seldom pay attention to Concord School District issues.

The work of lawyers at New Hampshire Legal Assistance isn’t something that I have any knowledge of. So both Kass Ardinger and Dan Feltes were unknown to me until they started arriving in my mailbox.

Two good-looking Democrats with all the right bullet points and plenty of supporters to tout. How am I going to decide who to vote for?

I was able to attend the recent community forum held by the League of Women Voters at NHTI. It was just what I needed.

As the two candidates addressed questions from the audience, the difference in presentation was stark. My take-away from that event is that Dan Feltes is ready to hit the ground running.

He has an impressive depth of knowledge in every issue that was brought up. While I am sure that if either of them is elected, I will mostly agree with votes they cast, but the pragmatic approach that Dan Feltes can bring to a discussion is just what I am looking for in an elected official.

"two good looking Democrats", are you kidding me, where does that come in when voting for a good representative in government? "with all of the right bullet points", again, that is really what is wrong with people voting today. How about, "with a sense to do the right things because they are the right things to do" or "they represent all NH residents, not just one political viewpoint".
