Letter: Photo caption glitches
We all are in favor of the Monitor minimizing expenses and saving money. I suppose this could include re-using photo captions and using generic terms identifying people, if appropriate. However, you went too far in yesterday’s paper, viz Page B1 “Texas Rangers’ Mike Napoli hits a home run during the third inning of the second baseball game of a double” – particularly since Napoli is clearly wearing a Red Sox uniform, and, on Page B8, using “Name” under each of the two photos of TV actors, rather than bothering to find out and put in their names.
