Letter: You missed it

I was disappointed to see nothing in the Monitor about the parade in Penacook on Sunday, nor of the dedication of the monument to first responders – firefighters, police officers and EMS. Cameron Bailey, a senior at Merrimack Valley High School designed this beautiful memorial, collected donations to get it purchased and engraved, and made the arrangements to get it situated in the cemetery in Penacook. To all who marched in the parade, I thank you for your service and dedication; to the MV band, I thank you for playing so well and bringing smiles to so many of the participants and to those lining the streets; to all who attended the parade and dedication, I thank you for showing your support to our first responders. To the Monitor, shame on you for not being there.
