Letter: Live music abound in Concord!

Kathleen Braden’s column (“Concord is alive with terrific band music, Monitor, May 24) has compelled me to share one of Concord’s best kept secrets: the Concord Community Music School.

At CCMS you find not only exquisite chamber music played by faculty in its intimate recital hall, but a plethora of free recitals, especially at this time of year when CCMS teachers are presenting their end-of-year work. There are studio recitals almost every evening.

Although you will hear a handful of awkward beginners, you will also witness students who have played or sung for many years. Attending these concerts is just plain fun – and inexpensive, especially for those of us on fixed incomes.

Please check out CCMS’s website, ccmusicschool.org, for upcoming programs.
