Committee of Conference Watch: Capital budget, security guards on tap

With the legislative year winding down, committees of conference are working at the State House to resolve differences between the House and Senate versions of various bills — 42 in all.

Three conference committees are scheduled to meet today; the list is below. Times and locations may change, so click here for the latest.

∎ House Bill 25, making appropriations for capital improvements, meeting at 11:30 a.m. in room 201 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ House Bill 353, relative to the regulation of private investigators and security guards, meeting at 1 p.m. in room 306 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ Senate Bill 188, relative to municipally-owned utilities, meeting at 2:45 p.m. in room 103 of the Legislative Office Building.

The deadline for committees of conference to submit their reports is June 20, next Thursday.
