Letter: Let’s get off fantasy island!
When it comes to health insurance, this country has descended into a fantasy island mindset. The Affordable Care Act is a major example of excessive pork spending and very little affordable health care.
The secretary of Health and Human Services is trying to raise money illegally to pay for implementation of the bill. The IRS, an agency that has nothing to do with health care, will oversee it. Our Congress people, who couldn’t be bothered to read the bill, exempted themselves from it, and are now trying to exempt their staffers.
New Hampshire liberals want to spend money to “explain” the bill because it’s so confusing, and they want to expand Medicaid to cover more people.
If the bill is so bad that Congress doesn’t want any part of it, there’s not enough money to implement it, and people can’t understand it, maybe it’s time to repeal it and come up with something that actually has something to do with affordable health care.
