Letter: He’s no developer
Enough already with Kevin Guay the Developer. Guay is as much a developer as Bernie Madoff is an honest man who made a small accounting error; as the 2-year-old in the E*Trade commercials is really doing the talking; as the new Twinkies are better for you than the old ones – you get the idea!
As a residential developer and builder for more than 35 years, I take great exception to Guay continuously being identified as a developer by Concord Monitor staff writers. What has he ever developed besides headlines in your newspaper?
Real developers are hard-working individuals who create projects that provide safe, affordable, well thought-out neighborhoods where people can be happy, safe and proud to call home. Were it not for reputable developers in New Hampshire working to provide the finest and most affordable neighborhoods despite all the regulatory and governmental hoops they have to jump through, most of you would still be living in teepees. So as we move forward and the Monitor continues to follow the Guay saga on slow news days, let’s remember that he’s been convicted, fined and sentenced to jail for polluting two properties he owns in Concord. He hasn’t developed anything but a really bad reputation.
