Letter: Two senators in the way
While the New Hampshire House voted to expand Medicaid, the New Hampshire Senate voted against it by a 13-11 vote along strict party lines.
So, essentially, two Republican votes are keeping 58,000 New Hampshire residents citizens from receiving vital health services. Two Republican votes are keeping the state from collecting $2.5 billion in federal subsidies. Two Republican votes are denying an increase in overall health to their constituents in New Hampshire.
To paraphrase Winston Churchill: Never have so few done so much harm to so many.
