Letter: A cruel cut
New Hampshire, how can you be so cruel? The fat cats get meals three times daily and snacks, and yet you feel no remorse at cutting food stamps of one person by $11 and that is from $144 a month. I have no additional income so, like it or not, I depend on the small amount food stamps I receive for food.
A recent Nashua Telegraph story, republished in the Monitor, was titled, “Sausage purchases spur concern; city workers rang up $1,500 food tab.” So yes, New Hampshire cut food stamps from people such as myself who never get a $1,500 meal paid for, ultimately, with my tax dollars.
