Letter: Tasteless

To concur with other letters to the editor, I do not find Ben Conant and Keith Testa a bit amusing, but to each his own. However, I strongly object to their decision to compare their lunchtime escapades to the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, in which over 140 female garment workers tragically perished. More than a century has passed since this industrial accident, but it is still tasteless and immature to callously joke about it (“just like the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, but with pulled pork”). To put the factory fire in perspective, the next greatest loss of life disaster in New York City was 9/11. Please consider retiring “The Insiders.”
