Letter: Eureka! This may save elections!
Is there a lesson to be learned here? A couple of years ago it came to the public’s attention that former Republican House speaker Bill O’Brien’s son was registered to vote in two states, Maine and New Hampshire. Oh no! Then, just last week, we were simply shocked to learn that Republican state Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley’s son actually voted twice in 2008, in Colorado and New Hampshire. Now, these are the same Republican boys that are so concerned about voter ID and obsessed with the possibility of voter fraud. Given what we have just learned, it appears to me that we have a very grave problem. It cannot be addressed by erecting senseless barriers to voting, but it could be repaired by better parenting.
