Letter: Re-elect Bouley
As someone who both lives and works in Concord, I recommend that Jim Bouley be re-elected as mayor.
The Monitor pointed out in a recent editorial that there is a broad range of issues facing the city. Here are some reasons I am voting for Bouley. After he was elected mayor in 2007, the city and nation faced an economic downturn. Bouley gained vast experience and a deep understanding of the city’s economic and budgetary issues after guiding Concord through a multi-year recession. He has made sure the city maintained a stable budget while still providing a high quality of services to residents.
He has worked hard to keep Concord a great place to live, work and raise a family. He has shown a strong commitment to ensuring that Concord offers a positive, welcoming environment, such as working with the Friendly Kitchen and the Task Force Against Racism and Intolerance and hosting the annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. Bouley’s track record with the budget and protecting Concord’s quality of life makes him a proven leader.
