Hi 35° | Lo 21°

Letter: Government is too big

Each branch of government and department (IRS, EPA, etc.) should have a budget, and they should adjust spending accordingly – no lavish seminars, vacations or expenses for political campaigning.

We have too much government – too many employees with too many benefits. Each department should be responsible for full accountability, including the executive branch and Senate – and that accountability should be made public. Too many employees makes it easier to blame and declare ignorance of any and all failures. Guilty parties do not get fired; they get promoted to a new department.

We have the right to know where our money is going. Let’s clean house and cut all unnecessary employees and spending. We spend too much and get too little for our money.

only way to fix this overweight bloated inefficient BIG GOVT is to put it on a starvation diet. Progressive democrats policies have given you the following FACTS - 90,609,000: Americans Not in Labor Force Climbs to Another Record, Census: 49% of Americans Get Gov’t Benefits; 82M in Households on Medicaid, U.S. has spent $3.7 trillion on welfare in the past five years, with virtually nothing to show for it. Only a democrat could think that what they are doing is sustainable or any way to build a foundation to prosper
