Letter: Get the stats

A city council candidate believes that more people use the computers than check out books from the library (“Meet the at-large candidates for city council: Samantha Clattenberg,” Sunday Monitor, Oct. 27). I agree that every computer always seems to have someone sitting in front of it, but I suspect that the number of people who take out books (and video and music) and read magazines over the course of a day is far greater. But there’s a way to check: Ask the library. How about it, Monitor?

On another note, I loved the photo of Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney in the oval office with Richard Nixon. It’s always good to be reminded of how much we owe Dick.
