Letter: Hard times persist

The Monitor recently referred to our recent recession as being over with. Witness my advertising in the local shopper magazine for teenaged yard help. Three of the five responses were from adults who were out of work and looking for money, in two cases, to put something under the tree for their children. From my perspective, it does not sound like the recession is over. The stock market keeps going up, yet the money being made there doesn’t seem to be making it to the local level. Where do you suppose it’s going?

The Obama recession has been going on for 5 years straight. If the liberal media treated Obama like they treated Bush they would be calling this an depression.
