Letter: Thanks, Heights residents
As we come to the final days of 2013, I would like to thank the residents of Concord Ward 8 for your support while I served as your city councilor.
It was a challenge I looked forward to six years ago, having lived on the Heights all my life. I love this community and Concord as a whole. Even though I won’t be continuing as Ward 8 councilor, I will be serving you as your state representative, and I am going to seek re-election to my state representative seat next year. Concord Heights continues to grow at a rapid rate, and I will be involved as ever with my community positions.
I wish Councilor-elect Gail Matson the very best as she assumes this position.
I enjoyed serving the residents so much, and the residents know I appreciated their visits, telephone calls and emails. I would like to thank City Clerk Janice Bonenfant and her wonderful staff; City Manager Tom Aspell and his staff; Chip Chesley and the staff at General Services; David Gill and everyone at Concord Recreation; Jill McDaniel and the cemetery staff; the Concord Police Department, wishing Chief John Duval good luck in his new position; Matt Walsh, Carlos Baia and James Kennedy and his staff; and the Concord Fire Department. Special thanks to Ed Roberge and his staff for always being willing to answer questions.
Wishing everyone a great Christmas and a healthy and successful 2014.
Councilor DICK PATTEN
