Crimeline: Concord police seek female duo in Walmart thefts

The Concord police are seeking help in identifying two women who they said stole a pair of televisions and a bean bag chair last month from Walmart.

The police said the theft occurred about 8:15 p.m. Jan. 15. The women placed the items in a cart and then bypassed an employee at the exit who asked to see their receipt, the police said. They were last seen entering a dark-colored full-size sedan.

Both women were described as slim with long brown hair. One was in her 20s and wore jeans and a brown sweatshirt, the police said; the other was in her 40s and dressed in a dark “AERO” sweatshirt. The televisions were VIZIOs – one a 32-inch, the other a 39-inch – and worth a total of nearly $700.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Concord Regional Crimeline by calling 226-3100, visiting online at or sending a text to CRIMES (274637) with TIP234 and their message.
