Committee of Conference Watch: State budget, CHINS on today’s agenda

Lawmakers are approaching the finish line as they continue to hammer out final versions of more than three dozen bills, including the next state budget.

Committees of conference face a deadline of tomorrow to finalize their reports — noon for the Senate, 4 p.m. for the House. Final votes are expected by the House and Senate next week.

Here’s a list of the conference committees scheduled to meet today. For the latest information on times and locations, click here.

∎ House Bills 1 and 2, the state budget, meeting 10 a.m. in room 210-211 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ House Bill 253, relative to limitations on sales by nano breweries for consumption on the premises, meeting 10 a.m. in room 203 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ House Bill 260, relative to the Children in Need of Services program, meeting 10 a.m. in room 206 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ House Bill 442, prohibiting residency restrictions for registered sex offenders and offenders against children, meeting 10 a.m. in room 204 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ House Bill 224, relative to the authority of the superintendent of a county correctional facility, meeting 11 a.m. in room 204 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ Senate Bill 119, directing the Joint Legislative Historical Committee to conduct a study of State House flag restoration and to acquire a portrait of suffragist Marilla Marks Ricker, meeting 11 a.m. in room 100 of the State House.

∎ House Bill 518, relative to establishing an individual’s status as a veteran and specifying that training for active duty is service for purposes of the veterans’ tax credit, meeting 11:30 a.m. in room 203 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ House Bill 233, relative to the care of the war memorial in Franconia Notch State Park, and relative to the Honor and Remember Flag as an official symbol to recognize and honor fallen members of the armed forces, meeting noon in room 305 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ House Bill 524, relative to National Guard facilities, the National Guard Scholarship Fund and the state active duty death benefit, meeting 12:30 p.m. in room 201 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ Senate Bill 75, relative to games of chance, meeting 1 p.m. in room 102 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ Senate Bill 148, which deals with the Renewable Portfolio Standard program and health insurance market rules, meeting 1 p.m. in room 103 of the State House.

∎ House Bill 542, which also deals with the Renewable Portfolio Standard program, meeting 1:30 p.m. in room 304 of the Legislative Office Building.

∎ Senate Bill 157, establishing a New Hampshire Disaster Relief Fund, meeting 1 p.m. in room 100 of the State House.

∎ Senate Bill 19, repealing provisions relative to the sale of the former Laconia State School property and eliminating a ramp toll on the Everett Turnpike in the town of Merrimack, meeting 3 p.m. in room 100 of the State House.
