Letter: Adams for Executive Council
With competitive primaries across the board, it can be really easy to forget about some of the less talked about, but incredibly important, positions in state government.
One such position is that of Executive Councilor. As you may know, New Hampshire is rather unique in that we elect five executive councilors who assist the governor in the administrative affairs of the state.
When it comes to the race for Executive Council in District 4, only one such candidate possesses all of these qualities, and that is Jim Adams.
For those who do not know Jim Adams, he is a lifelong New Hampshire resident and a Vietnam veteran with 27 years of executive experience and a resume full of positive accomplishments.
Jim believes in small government and low taxes; not just as a catchy slogan or talking point, but in a manner consistent with his life experience.
If elected to the council, Jim is committed to representing all 250,000 citizens in the District 4, not just the special interests.
Quite frankly, Jim’s hope is to be the people’s voice in Concord.
If an open, accountable and efficient government is what you believe Granite Staters deserve, then join us in supporting Jim Adams on Sept. 9.
(Scott Hilliard is the sheriff of Merrimack County. Jayne Millerick is a former chairman of the New Hampshire Republican State Committee.)
