Letter: Join us for a frank discussion

‘I know myself. I know what I need. I need to come first in my life.”

If you feel the same way about a woman’s life and the private, personal medical decisions she makes, please join me this evening at Red River Theatres to watch The Abortion Monologues, a play by Jane Cawthorne. The event will be held from 6 to 8 and is sponsored by the Concord Feminist Health Center and NARAL Pro-Choice New Hampshire Foundation.

The play exists in stark contrast to the real world, in which women rarely speak publicly about their decision to choose abortion. A panel discussion will follow, featuring state Rep. Candace White Bouchard, Dr. Pat Glowa, and former state representative Elizabeth Hager.

The event is free and open to the public, although donations are appreciated.

Abortion Stats are pretty surpising. Not what you would think they are if you listen to the Left. 1% of abortions are because of rape or incest. 6% are because of the health of the mother. 93% are because of social issues, like inconvience, etc. Why are there so many being done for reasons other than rape or health issues? If women have a choice about their bodies, why are they not exercising that choice to protect themselves from not only unwanted pregnancies but also STDS? 93% is a lot of women who seem to not take their choices seriously. With all the BC, free clinics etc, why are so many women being so lax in protection? These figures unfortunately give the impression that many see abortion as a form of BC sadly.

Hmmmmm, I wish I could attend. I am sure that it will not be "frank" it will be more of the same "choice" which is my position but why are progressives not as concerned with "choice" of other health decisions which Obamacare takes away? Why are they not concerned with school "choice" or the "choice" to eat or drink what you want (see Bloomberg 16 ounce soda)? So please represent me tonight and add my "frank" discussion points please........ A woman has the "choice" to control her body, I totally agree with that. A woman has the "choice" to have an abortion, she has to live with it. A woman has the "choice" to have intercourse and perhaps the abortion would not be necessary if the woman and man planned and thought about that in the first place. I don't want to pay for anyone's abortion or "choice", you made your bed (no pun intended) now lie in it. If you need psychological help after you "choose" to abort a fetus, same story, you pay, I really don't want to help you out. That "choice" to have an abortion or what to do with your body belongs to the woman involved, I really do totally agree. Not all women are that concerned about this issue, man think from the neck up!
