Letter: Magnificent outcome
In a country full of examples of divisiveness there is a great story of how it could be. The article about the Concord farm trail dedication (Monitor front page, Nov. 1) shows how hard work, long-term planning, compromise and working with disparate stakeholders can produce a magnificent outcome. Was this easy? Certainly not. Were there bargains hammered out? Of course.
Public and private entities and individuals have built a wonderful asset for Concord. We should be thankful for all the folks who worked so hard and so long with a common vision. We as a city, state and country can use this to shine a light on what working together can accomplish. Any less is a sad waste of our potential. Oh and by the way, you should thank all the people involved. They deserve it.
