Letter: Incredibly destructive
Meth is easy to make and incredibly destructive. Not only are those who use it a danger to themselves and others, production leads to people being burned and to house fires. Prohibition does not and will not work. The costs are extremely high in all the ways mentioned, and also in “collateral damage” to family and friends and police costs. We know that the only way to get a pandemic like this under control is not through failing prohibition but through the kind of control that was put in place to try to limit the damage that alcohol was doing when it was prohibited.
