Letter: Let’s talk

President Obama has said more than once that he welcomes a debate, “a national discussion,” about the legality and propriety of intelligence-gathering activities involving phone records and computer use of American citizens. At the same time, the government seeks to punish the man who made such a discussion possible. This could be a legitimate paradox, but maybe it’s just hypocrisy.



And just how do you know what this man has made possible? As for open discussion, the TV show NOVA showed quite a revealing and disturbing special on these activities four years ago. "The Spy Factory", in it's entirety, is universally and freely available on YouTube here:
