Hi 26° | Lo 19°

Letter: Two good ones

On Nov. 5 Concord residents will have the opportunity to vote for mayor, city council and school board. Unlike in recent years, Concord has a number of competitive races. Most anyone willing to step up and volunteer for these local posts is to be commended for his or her civic commitment. It is also our civic responsibility to carefully research the positions and experiences of these prospective local elected officials.

There are a number of candidates, like Jim Bouley for mayor and Amanda Grady Sexton for city councilor at-large, who will continue to ensure Concord is a safe and wonderful place to live and raise a family. Please take the time to learn about these candidates and so many others, and then get out and vote this November.
