Letter: An energy proposal

I have a question for Northern Pass, which I haven’t read about or heard anyone talk about. With the pending closure of Vermont Yankee, where will the power come from to take over what was generated there? Why not from Hydro-Quebec? I did read about underwater lines in New York state being less expensive than above-ground lines. So, why not send the power from Canada through underwater lines along the Connecticut River to Vernon, Vt., and then on to Massachusetts?

No towers to look at, no private property to buy. Everybody wins.
