Photo: Black Ice bonfire fueled by the ‘Moose Myth’

The 'Moose Myth' sculpture, once on display downtown in front of the Smile Building, was fuel for the bonfire that took place Friday late afternoon during the fourth annual Black Ice Pond Hockey Championship at White Park. Sculptors Donna Dodson, of Boston, and Andy Moerlein, of Bow, created the sculpture in 2010, one of many semi-temporary works of art they create. "A fun but poetic end," Dodson said, who mentioned another similar sculpture on display in Nashua met its end in a body of water.

The “Moose Myth” sculpture, once on display downtown in front of the Smile Building, was fuel for the bonfire that took place late yesterday afternoon during the fourth annual Black Ice Pond Hockey Championship at White Park in Concord. Sculptors Donna Dodson of Boston and Andy Moerlein of Bow created the sculpture in 2010, one of many semitemporary works of art they create. “A fun but poetic end,” Dodson said, who mentioned another similar sculpture on display in Nashua met its end in a body of water.
