New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner talks with Jim Lawrence and Eddie Edwards yesterday as they file their candidacies for public office. Lawrence, a Republican who is running for the 2nd Congressional District seat, is the first black man in state history to put his name on the ballot for Congress. Edwards, a Republican who is running for the District 4 Senate seat, is the first black man to run for state Senate.

I’m proud to be a candidate for Congress in the great state of New Hampshire, a state that elects candidates based on their ideas and not race,” Lawrence said as he filed yesterday. “I’m happy that another minority candidate is running, Representative (Marilinda) Garcia, and I’m proud to be standing here next to a good friend of mine, Chief Eddie Edwards. . . . This is going to be an energetic and historic election and I hope all of you will join me in making history, to win back New Hampshire for the people of New Hampshire.”

I'd vote for both these guys if I could!

Jim, Did Bill Gardner tell you that when Hassan loses the lawsuit against her by Ed Brown for her failure to do her Article 51 duty to the penalty supposed to be applied by Section 2 of the 14th Amendment, since we do not vote for our State '"Judicial officers" that you will be given the option to either get your District 2 filing fee back or choose to run for the entire state?
