On Thursday afternoon, at the proverbial intersection between summer’s end and school’s beginning, Mariah Wilson took a quiet moment after she’d fished all her worms away to look for snapping turtles at Penacook Riverside Park. Her younger sister Meagan was nearby wiping chalk dust from her cheek after horsing around with her friend Sira Linscott. The girls giggled and kicked around dirt as they made plans to continue milking their summer afternoon by going to another park.
