Charles Chapman, 12, sits in the spot where he’ll be a zombie at the Pittsfield Youth Center’s haunted house while testing the brightness of the lights on Wednesday afternoon, October 30, 2013. For the last two and half weeks, kids at the center have been plotting the scares behind each corner of their annual haunted house. The transformation happened over two days and opens to the public tonight. There is a one dollar or one piece of candy suggestion to enter the spooky production. This year’s theme is “The Walk-In Dead.”
