Letter: Leave police work to the police
Re “Soltani acquitted of 1 charge” (Monitor front page, Feb. 21):
I have lived in Epsom for 25 years and have yet to be terrorized by the police. I did disagree with a ticket I got once and went to court and won. But I didn’t think the police had it in for me.
Chief Wayne Preve did knock on my door a few weeks ago and asked if I knew who owned a hurt cat on the side of the road. Since I didn’t know, he brought it to the vet. I don’t know, maybe if I decided to get involved in a police chase, I would have a different opinion. But then I wouldn’t do that, since I believe police work is best left to the police.
