Concord’s Brown takes pair of bronzes in skeleton
Concord’s Kyle Brown notched a pair of third-place finishes the last two days in North American Cup skeleton events in Lake Placid, N.Y.
On Thursday, Brown turned in the fastest time – and a personal best – on the second run to win the bronze medal. He finished his second run in 54.98 seconds for a combined time of 1:50.38, just 0.32 seconds behind winner Michael Rogals. Canada’s Evan Neufeldt was second.
Yesterday, Brown had the second-fastest second run to again take bronze, 0.86 seconds behind Rogals and fellow American Stephen Garbett.
Brown, who only recently took up the sport, is aiming for a spot on the 2018 Olympic team.
