Concord’s Duprey drafted fourth overall in MLL
Concord’s Luke Duprey was taken with the fourth pick overall in last night’s Major League Lacrosse collegiate draft.
The New York Lizards chose Duprey, a long stick midfielder out of Duke, with their second pick.
Duprey, a senior captain for the defending NCAA champion Blue Devils this spring, recently was named preseason all-ACC and preseason honorable mention All-American. Duke begins its season on Feb. 8, with the MLL season beginning in late-April.
Tom Schreiber, a midfielder from Princeton, went first overall to the Ohio Machine, with Jordan Wolf, and attack from Duke, going second to the Rochester Rattlers, and Joe Fletcher, a defender from Loyola, third to the Lizards.
