Alpine skiing – Holderness’s Julia Ford was the only American besides gold medal winner Mikaela Shiffrin to complete the two-run slalom race yesterday. Ford, competing in her first Olympic event, finished 24th in a time of 1:52.87, 8.33 seconds behind Shiffrin’s winning time.

“Racing in the Olympics, representing America, my friends, and family was absolutely amazing!!! Thank,”she said on Twitter.
