Fisher Cats beat Thunder to improve to 2-0

Deck McGuire allowed three hits and one unearned run in 5 1/3 innings and the Fisher Cats offense pounded out a dozen hits as New Hampshire (2-0) beat the Trenton Thunder (0-2), 7-3, last night.

McGuire was treated to a 7-0 lead and lasted into the sixth, allowing just one walk while striking out three.

A.J. Jimenez led the attack by going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Brad Glenn (2-for-5, double), Jon Berti (2-for-4, two RBI) and Yusuf Carter (2-for-5, double, RBI) also had multi-hit games.
