For the second time in her rookie campaign Mount Ida freshman midfielder Weare’s Rebecca Beaulieu, a freshman midfielder for the Mount Ida women’s lacrosse team, was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. Beaulieu notched 11 points and won 18 draw controls over three games last week.
∎ Concord’s Rachel Boynton went 3-for-3, including a single during a six-run seventh inning, as Keene State’s softball team rallied for a 6-4 victory over Rhode Island College.
∎ New London’s Steph Bonewald scored a goal and collected three draw controls in the St. Michael’s women’s lacrosse team’s 9-7 victory over Merrimack.
∎ New London’s Chris Galluzo made two saves to backstop the New England College men’s lacrosse team to a 24-2 victory over Johnson State.
Tilton School results
The Tilton School varsity baseball team opened its season with a 9-5 victory over Phillips Exeter. Ethan Rhine, Hudsen Hagland (double, RBI), Ethan Howland (double, three RBI) and Nunzio Morretti (three RBI) led the offense with two hits each. Jack Morretti and Hagland pitched well for the Rams.
The Franklin Animal Shelter’s inaugural 5K run/walk will be held May 25 at 10 a.m. from Paul Smith Elementary School in Franklin. Registration is $25 through May 18, $30 after. Register online at franklinanimalshelter.com.

Concord Flyers youth track program will begin its 23rd season May 28 at the Memorial Field track from 5:30-7 p.m. All area 3rd- to 8th-grade girls are eligible. Practices will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30-6:45 p.m. through the end of July, as well as a few practice meets on Sundays (11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) during June. UNH women’s volleyball coaching staff will host an overnight camp Aug. 1-3. Participants will have access to Lundholm Gymnasium and all of the amenities of the UNH campus.
