Kearsarge girls’ tennis team loses rain-shortened season opener

Playing outdoors for the first time this season, the Kearsarge girls’ tennis team lost on the road to Monadnock, 6-0, in a shorted match due to rain.

No. 3 singles player Sabrina Duquette fell, 8-3, in a long match that was closer than score indicates. Newcomer Lydia Schoonmaker was tied 4-4 in her No. 5 singles match when play was suspended.

The Cougars take the court again tomorrow when they host Wilton.
