Fisher Cats lose sixth in a row

New Hampshire starting pitcher Scott Copeland suffered a hard-luck loss last night as the Fisher Cats’ bullpen was hammered for six runs in the final three innings of a 7-0 loss to the Binghamton Mets.

New Hampshire has now lost six straight to fall to 2-6. Binghamton improved to 6-2.

Copeland (0-2) allowed just one run on two hits over six innings, but relievers Tony Davis, Wil Browning and Gregory Infante all gave up runs in one inning of work apiece.

The Fisher Cats managed just hits, singles by Kenny Wilson, Jon Berti and Ryan Schimpf.

The series continues today at 1:35 p.m. with Casey Lawrence (0-0, 2.25) pitching for the Fisher Cats against Tyler Pill (0-1, 6.75).
