Fisher Cats fall in extra innings to Rock Cats

Twice the New Hampshire Fisher Cats took a lead in extra innings, and twice New Britain answered.

A walk and a pair of errors helped the Fisher Cats take a 5-4 lead in the top of the 12th inning last night, but the Rock Cats answered with a two-run homer by Tony Thomas in the bottom of the inning to walk off with a 6-5 victory.

In the 10th, a Jon Berti sacrifice fly scored Kevin Nolan to give New Hampshire a 4-3 lead, but Kennys Vargas lofted a solo homer for New Britain to continue extra innings.

A.J. Jimenez went 3-for-6 with a double and home run to pace the Fisher Cats.

Richard Bleier (1-3) took the loss, surrendering the walk-off homer in a third of an inning of work.
