Fisher Cats manage just two hits in 6-0 loss to Binghamton Mets
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats managed just two baserunners against Binghamton pitcher Greg Peavey on the way to a 6-0 home loss to the Mets yesterday morning.
Andy Burns had one of the Fisher Cats’ two hits – a single with two outs in the fourth inning – extending his on-base streak to a team-high 15 games. Yusuf Carter had New Hamsphire’s other hit, a two-out single in the fifth.
The Mets got all the offense they needed against Fisher Cats starter Casey Lawrence (2-3) in the third when Brian Burgamy hit a three-run homer to put the Mets on top 3-0.
Lawrence pitched 6.2 innings, allowing seven hits, two walks and four runs with four strikeouts.
