All-Pro cornerback Law inducted into Patriots Hall of Fame
Ty Law will be the 22nd player inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame as the result of a fan vote, the team announced on its Twitter feed.
“Ty Law was one of the greatest players in franchise history and one of the premier corners in the NFL during his Patriots career,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said in a statement. “We have had an incredible run of success, and the building blocks started with players like Ty.”
Law, a first-round draft pick out of Michigan in 1995, was a four-time Pro Bowler with the Patriots, and an All-Pro selection in 1998 and 2003.
Two of Law’s most prominent highlights came with New England came in the postseason. In Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002, he intercepted a Kurt Warner pass and brought it back for a touchdown for the first score in the Patriots’ 20-17 win.
Two years later, he intercepted three Peyton Manning passes to help the Patriots to a 24-14 win over Indianapolis in the AFC championship game.
