Fisher Cats climb out of hole before losing, 4-3, to Sea Dogs in extras
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats rallied from an early three-run deficit and forced extras, but lost in 10 innings, 4-3, to the Portland Sea Dogs last night.
New Hampshire trailed 3-0 after three innings, but got a run back in the fourth on Ryan Schimpf’s homer and then scored two in the fifth when Kenny Wilson’s two-out triple brought in Kevin Nolan and Matt Newman.
That was all for the scoring until the top of the 10th, when Sean Coyle brought in Travis Shaw with a two-out double. The Fisher Cats went down 1-2-3 in the bottom half to end the game.
Noe Ramirez got the win with three scoreless innings of relief. Richard Bleier got the loss in relief.
