Fisher Cats’ winning streak comes to an end at five

Melky Mesa homered twice and Mike McDade added a solo shot, but the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (23-36) saw their five-game winning streak come to an end with a 7-4 loss to the Bowie Baysox (30-29) last night.

Tyler Ybarra was saddled with the loss for New Hampshire, walking the first two batters of the seventh inning as the Baysox scored three times to snap a 3-3 tie. Fisher Cats starter P.J. Walters pitched 5.2 innings, allowing nine hits and three runs.

Mesa and McDade each went 3-for-4 and Jorge Flores went 2-for-4.
