Fishers pounded by Bowie despite three home runs

Ryan Schimpf homered twice and Jack Murphy added a solo shot, but the Bowie Baysox salvaged the final game of a three-game series, beating the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 8-3, last night.

Richard Bleier (3-5) took the loss for the Fisher Cats. Blake McFarland, Gregory Infante and Tyler Ybarra also worked in the game for New Hampshire.

The Fisher Cats open a three-game series in Richmond tonight at 7:05. Right-hander Austin Bibens-Dirkx (1-1, 2.42) is scheduled to start for New Hampshire against Richmond righty Kyle Crick (4-1, 3.46).
