Fisher Cats’ bats go silent in 1-0 loss to Flying Squirrels

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats gave up a run in the first inning but couldn’t make up for it, collecting only five hits and losing to the Richmond Flying Squirrels yesterday, 1-0.

Richmond got the run when Skyler Stromsmoe tripled and came home on Matt Duffy’s sacrifice fly. It was the only run the team got off of New Hampshire starter Radhames Liz, who allowed four hits while walking three and fanning two. He sports a 0.68 ERA though his record dropped to 0-1.

Mike Crouse had a pair of hits for the Fisher Cats, while Jon Berti’s double was the team’s only extra-base hit.
